I have a house on a 999 year lease, the mortgage is paid off and the freehold title for the whole estate is registered to the local authority but my interest is not recorded. What form do I use to register my ownership of the lease, is it just the AP1? I have the original deeds.

Chris - if your leasehold is not registered then you need to apply to register it for the first time and against the freehold title using form AP1
Leases: when to register (PG25) - GOV.UK

Thanks for the quick response! So just to confirm, that's an FR1 and an AP1 needed?

Chris - no, just AP1 ad the freehold is registered and you are applying to register your lease for the first time which means both noting it on the freehold title and creating your own title as well.
FR1 would be used if the land/property was unregistered in it's entirety
