I am applying via the Portal to register a new Lease in the name of a charity.
The description of the Tenant in the Lease (using made up names here) is "John Smith of 1 High Street, and Jane Smith of 1 High Road as the charity trustees of The Example Trust". How do I complete the AP1 for the applicant/tenant? Under Applicant Type, I chose "Other Organisation, like charity ...", but what then? Do I use their personal names as they're on the Lease, or just the name of the Charity?
Thanks.

Irene - you would enter them as and how you wish the legal ownership to be shown on the register.
You may find PG 14 of assistance re guidance re Charities -

Thank you. Clause 4.2 of PG14 covers how they are to be registered, as individuals on trust, but my question is really about how to actually fill in the AP1 in the Portal as I can't work out how to do it so that it shows the description in the Lease.
Under Applicant Type, do I put the Trustees as Private Individuals, and then the Trust as Other Organisation? When I get to Tenant Details, what capacity do I select - Registered Proprietor or additional trustee? Do I need to refer to the Trust at all, or will it be picked up on registration?
