I owned house with my mother in law and she has passed away i did informed LR but now im remortgaging adding my wife to new mortgage and got forms AP1, TP1 and TR1 am I correct or do i need different ones and also my house is worth £240000 mortgage is for £74000 is my fee then £80? Do I need a solicitor or can i fill the forms myself and do I put trnsfer half of the property to my wife. Kind regards Scott

Scott - if you are transferring it from yourself to you plus wife then you need AP1, TR1 and ID1/ID3. Not TP1 
If it’s a gift then it’s Scale 2 on half the current value. Complete panel 4 of AP1 with “Full market value” and £240k. 
You don’t have to use a solicitor but we’d always recommend you do as they are familiar with the forms, process, legal issues and can also verify your identities
