Situation: My sibling is receiving our parent's house by inheriting most but not the full value of the property, and buying the remaining value from the estate. (SDLT has already been paid on the bought portion and the Land Transaction Return Certificate has now been received.) I hope you can help re. box 8, TR1 form, please. Which tickbox should be used? Should it be the first one, stating "The transferor has received from the transferee for the property the following sum [which is the amount paid for the bought portion of the property value]"? Or the last one, stating "Insert other receipt as appropriate:..." if so, what would be appropriate wording here, please? Your advice is much appreciated please! Also, on AP1 form Box 4, "Price Paid/Value": should this be the price paid (bought portion) or the full value of the property? Many thanks!
