Hi

I am making a TR1 (transfer of title) application and I am not using a conveyancer.  The transferor is using a conveyancer.  I believe that I need to include ID (an ID1?) for/from the transferor with my application, but not sure in what form I need this, and as he is represented by a Conveyancer, do I also need a form of ID for/from them too?  Sadly no example of this scenario given on LR site and the practice guide is not easy to follow!
thanks!

Hi Diane - all parties to the Transfer need to have their identities verified.
If one party is legally represented then you would need to complete form AP1 as appropriate - Completing the evidence of identity panels on forms AP1, FR1, DS2 - GOV.UK
If you are not using a conveyancer then you would need to have your identity verified using form ID1/conveyancer or form ID3/others as listed in PG 67

Hi Adam, wow, quick reply, thanks! Where/why I am a still confused is:-
You say all parties need identities verified - so does that mean I need an ID1 completed form for both the transferor and one for his Conveyancer and send those in with my AP1 and ID1?
But then, in the AP1 guidance states that ID needed only for names in Panel 6, which has just my name as transferee (I have completed panel 12, checked the box "I am not a conveyancer..." and then have completed panel 14 where I state the transferor's name and his Conveyancer's name. address and reference.

Please can you clarify, thanks :)

Diane - no as you can complete form AP1 (see the link I provided) to confirm the transferor was legally represented and his conveyancer had verified his identity

Sorry to jump in on your thread Diane, and your replies Adam, but I too am in the process of completing these forms, can I just ask if a Nurse, Podiatrist verify my identity? I know a dentist and doctor etc can.
Thanks.

Rebecca - no they can't - see PG 67 for a list of those who may verify an identity using form ID3
