Hi Team,
Could you give me suggestion to remove the restrictive covenants. A Transfer of the land in this title dated **1999 made between (1) The Council and (2) X and Y contains restrictive covenants. They sold the property to the current seller on 2020 but this clause still in the title deed . It’s a freehold property. How can remove the restrictive covenants from the title. This property was a ex council house. Now I’m planning to buy this property. How can remove this restrictive covenants before completion date ?;
Thank you

HI Naveen - you either need to identify the land that has the benefit of the covenants and arrange for the current landowner(s) to enter into a legal deed to release same. Or you approach the Upper Tribunal as appropriate - Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) - GOV.UK
