Send only certified copies of deeds and documents

The HMLR AP1 guide video on youtube says send only certified copies of deeds and documents as they get destroyed. Do this include SDLT5 stamp duty certificate, and the ID1 identity form, keeping the original as a backup is desirable, hope someone can answer this please, Terry.

Terence - by all means keep copies but you should send the originals of both the SDLT5 and ID1. They are scanned and copies retained by us as part of the formal record.
