Hi, my father named myself and my sister as tenants in common.   He has recently died with myself and sister the only benefices of the will.    I have been informed that it is a simple process, without using solicitors, to remove his name and make ourselves the sole owners. I understand that proof/supporting documents and payment would need to be supplied.  Could you please confirm this is correct   Is the form called a DJP. - are there other forms that also need to be completed.     Thanks

Hi Lesley - I am sorry to read of your loss.
First thing to do is to check and confirm how the property is registered. Check the register to see who is registered as the owner(s) and what restriction (if any) is there also
You can then use our assisted guidance to work through a series of prompts to identify the forms and more you need to then apply to update the register as appropriate
