The charity I work for previously placed a charge on a property owned by a grant recipient when they received a grant for capital work. I am completing a DS2 Form on behalf of the charity to be sent with a DS1 form to remove the charge from the property following a request from the group; and completion of their grant terms.

Please could you confirm the following for Section 10 (2) Evidence of identity:

 - as we gave the grant, the lender is the name of the charity;

- as a conveyancer was not used, can this column can be left blank?

In terms of identity evidence please could you provide guidance on what we should provide.

Helen - our online guidance explains how to complete the from DS2 re the identity requirements - Completing the evidence of identity panels on forms AP1, FR1, DS2 - GOV.UK
As a conveyancer was not used you would complete the panel as explained and put None in the appropriate column
As to guidance on identity verification please refer to our PG 67 and our requirements - Evidence of identity (PG67) - GOV.UK

Thanks Adam, I've had a look at the guidance. I just want to double check I've got the right form - as we are a registered company and charity am I right in thinking it is the ID2 we need to complete?

Also for this form our verifier cannot be our chartered accountant but could be a solicitor?

Helen - form ID2 and a conveyancer as explained on the form itself. The wider options re verifier are only available when using form ID3 but that's not applicable here
