My mother and father owned a property as tenants in common.  My mother died a couple of years ago.  My father has died recently. I am the executor of both of them. What forms are needed to put my name on the proprietorship register?

Sam - I'm sorry to read of your loss
You can use our online assisted guidance to identify the forms and more needed - HMLR Guide: Start - External  · HM Land Registry
You will need probate for your Father and a copy of your late Mother's death certificate
If they were registered as TIC and there is a form A/joint ownership restriction on the register then please refer to our PG 6 section 8 for additional guidance on how to apply to cancel said restriction as appropriate - Practice guide 6: devolution on the death of a registered proprietor - GOV.UK

You can check and confirm the current register online for a fee - Search for land and property information - GOV.UK

Land registration is complex, designed to protect legal and financial interests in property. There can be significant consequences for any error. Please consider seeking legal representation. Find out about making an application without legal representation.
