Hi, Our house is currently under two names and we would like to take a name off (To transfer a joint ownership property to sole ownership) We are trying to complete the paperwork ourselves as there will be no money involved and it’s mortgage free.

I would like to confirm that do we need to fill separate forms( 2x AP1 & 2xTR1) ? Or we just enter our details on the same one (1x AP1 & 1x TR1)?

Thank you.

Hi Jeny - if it's one transfer from joint to a sole name then you need 1 AP1, 1 TR1 and ID1/ID3 for each of you.
Registering land or property with HM Land Registry: Change the registered owner name - GOV.UK

Hi Stuart - You and your ex-wife will need to transfer the whole of the title to her.

Please see the guidance on our website on GOV.UK under the section titled Change the registered owner name and focus on requirements associated with transfer of whole.
