When filing the completed AP1 to register the transfer of ownership of property, where no conveyancer is instructed, is it acceptable to send two completed ID3 forms for the purposes of verifying the identity of the transferor and transferee, or does it have to be ID1s?

Thanks

Neil - ID1s if a conveyancer is verifying your identities. ID3 if someone else as listed in PG 67 - Evidence of identity (PG67) - GOV.UK

Hi Adam, thank you for this.

Presumably a solicitor with a practicing certificate is able to verify the identity of the parties using the ID3 form?

Neil - they would verify your identity using form ID1. ID3 is an alternative to using a conveyancer. The guide defines conveyancer for you
