If I provide a passport for the verifier to examine, what documents would the conveyancer NEED to keep copies of for their records? As I read it the verifier only has to 'inspect' the passport so presumably they don't need to make a copy of that.

Also does the conveyancer only need to see Section B of ID1 ie the part they have to complete?

In sending ID1 back to HM Land Registry does the preamble to the form have to be included or do I just send Sections A and B?

Stewart - that's up to them as to what they then keep to confirm verification later. Our PG 67 sets out in some detail the requirements re identity verification for you and the verifier
You need to have the form completed in full. The verifier will need to see you, the whole form and the supporting evidence as explained in both the form and PG 67
