How do I register my property ?

Hello, I have been searching through the site and I am unsure on what forms I need to complete to register my property, just a house, garden and sheds, I have owned and lived in the property for approx 30 years?
Do I need to have assistance from a solicitor.

Hello Patricia - compulsory registration for all of England & Wales was in place by 1990 so if you bought after then it should already be registered - check online
If it's not registered then our online guidance explains how to register for the first time
Whilst you don't have to use a conveyancer/solicitor we would always recommend that you do as they are familiar with the forms, process and what deeds and more are required
