Hi, I sold my house, completed 5 Nov 2024. The required forms AP1, TR1, SLDT5 and 2 ID1 forms (seller and buyer) have been sent and received by HMLR.
I have then bought a house on 21 Nov 2024, I am still waiting for SDLT5 so not sent application to HMLR yet.
On application can I reference the current ID1 form for myself in the submitted application regarding my selling on the 5 Nov 2024 when I submit the application for my purchase on 21 Nov 2024 or do I need another ID1 form.
My ID1 form was dated 29 Oct2024 is valid until 29 Jan 2025.
kind regards Terry.

Hi Terence - we ask applicants to submit everything together and at the same time - see section 11 PG 67 for guidance Practice guide 67: evidence of identity - GOV.UK
We won't accept a 'later' application that asks us to rely on a previously submitted application due to the time lag between the two matters and the identity verification
You'll need to have your identity verified again and separately for the later application

Hi Adam, luckily I already got the solicitor to complete a seperate ID1 form for my purchase as I previously assumed that seperate would be needed. It was on an enquiry about photocopies reply I was told about cross referencing one ID form but I can just go ahead now with the seperate form, this was also completed on the 29 Oct 2024 so expires on 29 Jan 2025.

I am still waiting for SDLT5, if it does not arrive soon I will have to send the application to HMLR after the 29 Jan 2025, I assume the ID1 form is still acceptable because it was current at the completion date of 21 Nov 2024 but I would like to ask you to confirm if this is the case,

kind regards Terry.

Terence - form ID1 explains the 'date' requirement in bold on page 1, namety "Both section A and section B of this form must be completed, dated and signed no more than three months before lodgement of an application with HM Land Registry."

Oh dear, HMRC are dropping me in it, also the seller who's ID1 form is from the 29 Oct, 6 days and counting. This delay is all because they sent a nonsence SLDT 8 where no one on the helpline could explain anything I had entered wrong, sent back with same answers and apparently SDLT5 was then issued but must have gone missing in post so now waiting for a second certificate. I must be related to Victor Meldrew somehere along the line,
thanks for quick replies Adam, kind regards Terry.

HI Adam, another thought, can I lodge application and state that SDLT5 is to follow? Terry

Terence - you may. HMRC are rarely 'slow' re providing such confirmations/receipts though

I will give HMRC until Monday 27 and send application 1st class without SDLT5 if not here by then, (will probably come Tuesday). If I send without SDLT5, Do I just leave any mention of the SDLT5 out of panel 5 on AP1 form, or should I mention there or somewhere else that the SDLT5 is to follow, kind regards Terry

Terence - list SDLT5 as to follow

Hi, if send SDLT5 later, do I just send it to same address and include a cover note with details or is there a form to use, or do I just rely on the detail on the SDLT5 itself for you to connect it up with the application, kind regards Terry.

Hi Terence - submit it to same postal address with a cover note/letter that also refers to the title number of your application
