I wish to submit form SEV to unilaterally sever a joint tenancy and notice of severance and notice of service. Can I email you the scanned electronic copies or do I need to post you the originals?

Ian - it's a postal application only

If you want to change your ownership from joint tenants to tenants in common, you need to send us a Form SEV.

There is no fee payable.

For further guidance, please refer to the Joint Property ownership pages on GOV.UK and Practice Guide 19: notice, restrictions and the protection of third party interests in the register.

Please send the completed application to:

HM Land Registry address for applications.

Land registration is complex, designed to protect legal and financial interests in property. There can be significant consequences for any error. Please consider seeking legal representation. Before making an application without legal representation, it is important to consider the benefits of using a conveyancer.
