Hi

I am about to submit a FR1 and a TR1 (with supporting documents) to register a property inherited solely by me and then transfer 50% of the interest to my spouse, so that we end up as registered joint tenants. I am the executor of the source estate and have been granted probate.

Should the FR1 be submitted by just me or by both of us? just want to double check. The TR1 is I understand submitted by us both.

Also is there any digital payment method available to me instead of a cheque.

Hi Ian - the form FR1 is the application form so that can be completed and submitted by one or both of you. There's no requirement either way
The registration fee is payable by cheque or postal order. NO other option if you are doing this yourselves
Land registration is complex, designed to protect legal and financial interests in property. There can be significant consequences for any error. Please consider seeking legal representation. Before making an application without legal representation, it is important to consider the benefits of using a conveyancer.
