Am going to fill form  DJP to remove my husbands name from the register. Will I get a notification when the form  has been received together with death certificate. My concern is if it gets lost in the post. How long does it take to update the register? Thanks

Marie - we issue a postal acknowledgement on receipt. Don't submit the original death certificate - if you do then it will be returned but you risk losing it in the post.
Submit a certified or official copy instead

My daughter dealt with the death certificate. I cannot tell which one is the original death certificate. She did pay for three official copy. I am enclosing  one with the form, could I pl leave a note for it be returned? Thanks

Marie - you can add a note to the application. Documents are scanned on receipt by a third party and originals returned

For form DJP, to remove one beneficial joint owner upon death, alongside an official copy of death certificate, is there any other document required to be sent such as probate or letter of administration? Are one of these mandatory or can the DJP be submitted without these? Thanks.

Have just submitted one with original certificate. I requested it to be returned to me and it was done promptly. Within two days of sending the form, was informed it was received and how long it will take to be processed. Very impressed with LR.

Marie - it will be waiting to be processed. 3 months would have bene an estimate only but no need to worry and once processed the casework team will contact you
