TR1 received from LandReg as requires to initalled - Misplaced

Hi Adam, we've chatted before on other items. My sister, as registered attorney, is acting on behalf of her 93 year mother in the transfer of a studio room by way of surrender of lease to the freeholder. All forms were submitted (including LPA docs) and receipt acknowledged. Last week the TR1 was returned for my sister to add (in Box 12) she signed as the attorney on behalf of her mother. She added a statement saying this and initialled as requested. Then very annoyingly, the form was misplaced, most probably accidentally binned. The question is can she a) make the same changes to a photocopy she made of the TR1 prior to it being submitted; or b) is it necessary that she request a copy of the TR1 she received back from Land Reg? Essentially can she make to amendment to the photocopy , initial it and then send to Land Reg? She still has the letter requesting the initialling, so she knows where to send it. Many thanks Matthew
