Sorry to post again but having a bit of trouble with drawing a plan. We have an official copy of Title number in question. We need to draw and show new boundaries (we are splitting title). We have tried for hours but without proper software it's hard to get it just right. We can do it very nicely on paper with ruler and red pen!

Can we submit a hardcopy plan or is only an electronic version allowed these days?

Thanks

Jack - no apology needed.
Have a look at section 5 of our PG 40 supplement 2  - Preparing plans for HM Land Registry applications (PG40s2) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
That explains what sort of plan meets our registration requirements

Thanks Jack. I had actually read that previously, and all the links emanating from it. There is no mention of 'hardcopy', nor of 'digital' for that matter! Can we therefore assume that it doesn't matter, and that lines drawn by hand with red pen and rulers are fine so long as all the other criteria are met?

Jack - you can assume it doesn't matter as you state. What's always key is that the plan also shows what you both agree to and that it's sufficient to avoid any potential issues in the future.
Whether it's hand drawn or digitally prepared matters not but it needs to show what you wanted it to achieve

Great, yes I will ensure it's very clear and otherwise compliant. Just wanted to check it won't be rejected for being done by hand. I think I need to get the transferor to sign the plan after it's done so I must remember to do that when signing.

I doubt you can say but if you can, I'd be grateful for any rough idea how long a TP1 and AP1 (splitting a title) takes to 'complete', assuming everything is 100% in order with paperwork etc.
