I am looking for a copy of my lease. My solicitor retired and sold his practice. When I tracked down the company who now owns it was told to contact Land Registry for my lease as they would no longer know where my file is. Thank you

Responsibility for holding a copy/originals of the lease lie with the landlord/tenant, However you can apply for copies of deeds and documents, including leases, that we hold by completing form OC2 and sending it to us by post.

When filling in the form, be sure to:

  • enter the details of the land or property that you would like to find out about
  • enter the title number (our unique identifying reference)
  • enter your own details into the applicant fields
  • provide as much detail as you can about the deeds or documents you want copies of

Fees are payable - £7 per copy. Cheques/postal orders should be made payable to HM Land Registry. We do not currently accept card payments for applications.

Please send the completed application to:

HM Land Registry,

Citizen Centre,

PO Box 74,

Gloucester,

GL14 9BB
