We are also in the same position as our home has never been registered with the Land Registry. We are in our 80’s now. What difference does it make if we don’t register it, we do have the deeds. Xx

Linda - often no difference at all although we would always recommend registering as if the deeds are lost/destroyed for any reason that can pose an issue for you going forward should you wish to sell, mortgage or transfer on your property to someone else

Thankyou for that Adam, the Solicitors are asking £1500 plus vat to do the work to register the property, it seems a lot of money if it’s not entirely necessary. Xx
