Buying out a sibling

My father passed away without a will in Feb 2023, leaving just me and my sister. I have obtained letters of administration. We have agreed that I will keep the house and buy my sister out. The house is valued at £170,000. Can I pay my sister now or do I have to wait until I’ve sorted it with Land Registry first? I’ve written up a contract with her where she agrees on the valuation and relinquishing her rights to the house. What forms do I need to complete? What else do I need?
My father didn’t take my mother off the land registry when she died. Does this make a difference?
Thank you

Laura - see
our online guidance
for the forms and more needed. You'll need to lodge a certified copy of your late Mother's death certificate as well
When you pay your sister is a matter between the two of you and not something we can advise you on
