The firm I am using for conveyancing is telling me that they can not give me an update on where in your system the expedited application for land registry is at?
The application was expedited 3 weeks ago.

They tell me they cannot contact your department in any way and we have to wait for updates from yourselves. #160;

Is this true? I find it hard to believe that an update cannot be given or that they cannot call or email you for an update

The sale of my property could fall through by March 14th if we don’t get some sort of response

Thank you for any help you can give or guidance in this matter

Tracey - conveyancers generally have access to a secure system they can check on progress and also contact us should they need to. Generally speaking their tracking progress is sufficient as if anything is awry then we would contact them.
Have you got the title number/our case reference?

I don’t unfortunately. The conveyancing is very firm with us that they will not chase you. We have been told that when they look on portal there has been no update from when the officer came out to the property 3 weeks ago.
So, I take it then the conveyancing firm can call or use this portal to get an update?
Thanks

Tracey - they can check and confirm that it's been expedited and also track progress such as whether a request for more issued, notices served on third parties and more.
Can you share the postal address and I can check and then delete it from the thread - asking in case you are concerned re privacy on a public forum

The firm has confirmed that the case has been expedited and that is all. They say no other update has been posted, which seems hard to believe
I will try and get case number first and get back to you. If I can’t obtain it from them, I will give you the address
But thank you so very much for your help for now
Will contact you soon

thank you so much for any info on this

Tracey - there isn't an application against that title and it's for a parcel of land in Brixworth. Is that the correct one?

Yes, that’s correct

Thank you, do you see any thing on where we with getting it sorted?

The property is my late fathers and it has been a difficult property to try and sell

its becoming a financial burden on the family and the stain is quite enormous

Any update on where the application is at in the system would eleviate a little I think the pressure on the family.

It’s not helping either that our solicitor does not seem to want to move things forward and will not reach out to you for updates but would rather wait

Thanks again for any insight you have

Tracey - ok. If that's a correct number then I think the application you are referring to is a first registration seeking to claim ownership of The Pound House. There is no application against NN148341 which relates to an adjoining parcel of already registered land
If so then the application is still with us and waiting for a response from the conveyancer involved. Our last contact with them was on the 15th Feb and they have yet to respond

Ok, thanks so much for your help

As far as I’m aware that is the correct reference number

Maybe if I have any further questions I could contact you again

You have been very helpful and I really appreciate your time in this matter

Actually though, if you can tell me what was the question you had that they have not replied to yet in ref to NN400764? Can you say on this forum or should I just try and get info from solicitor?

Thanks so much

Tracey

Tracey - you need to confirm with the conveyancer and clarify what's required and when they expect to reply. I wouldn't share that detail here on a public forum
