My sister and I inherited my father’s property, he was the sole owner. We have received probate and have completed a AS1 form, do we need to fill out a ID1 and get verification through a solicitor with photos. Or will the probate certificate with our names and addresses in be enough? Thank you

Rachel - you will need your identities verified using form ID1/conveyancer or ID3/others as listed

Thank you for your reply and help. We aren’t selling the house. Just changing the land registry into our names as I thought it was part of the probate requirement. Just seems a bigger project than imagined.
Thank you

My mother passed away in March 2025, application for grant of probate submitted  beginning of June yet still waiting . Did not reach level to be come eligible for inheritance tax so cannot understand why this is such a long process. Particularly frustrating as property was sold in August and buyer is becoming  anxious to move in - our concern is that they may pull out and finding another buyer would prove extremely difficult in the current climate.
