ID1 identity form question

Hi I am completing the form ID1 to verify my identity and have completed section A. It then says "You need to fill in
section A, then, you need to make an appointment at an HM Land Registry office, or with a solicitor, notary, licensed conveyancer, barrister or chartered legal executive.".

I assume that a solicitor would cost and the Land Registry office would be free but I don't know how to make an appointment? I am in Newcastle so my nearest is in Durham, I think. I found an address, do I need to make an appointment to actually go there, or can it be done online? How do I make an appointment?

Thanks,
John

Hi John - unsure what you are referring to as the appointment option no longer exists. See our PG 67 and form ID1 for guidance
Evidence of identity (PG67) - GOV.UK and Verify identity: citizen (ID1) - GOV.UK

Ah my letter said could use DM Land Registry but I called and apparently that option is no longer available since covid so I will have to pay a solicitor to do it... :|
