TP1: amalgamation instead of a new title

Hi - a quick question about transfers of part. Where the buyer already owns an adjoining registered title, is it possible to directly ask, as part of that application, for the part being transferred to be amalgamated into that existing title rather than given its own new title number? If so, where is that mentioned on the TP1? And would it attract an extra fee on top of the Scale 1 fee for the transfer of part or would it be included in the Scale 1 fee if requested at the same time?

Hi Jay W - it is possible to ask but that would be as part of the application form AP1, not the TP1. If the request is made as part of the same application there's not usually an extra fee. If it's made in isolation there is an extra fee and a much more likelihood of refusal.
