I am the sole executor of a family member's estate.   Under his will, he passed his half share in a property (which was owned with the co-owner as tenants in common) to his four children.  I have prepared an assent and understand that there is no need to change the propriortorship register as the entire legal estate is now owned by the original co-owner.

I will arrange for a Form DJP to be filed to remove the deceased from the propriortorship register.

My question is what do I need to do with the Assent once it has been executed?  Do the Land Registry need a copy?  If not, then were should I send the original?

Thank you for your assistance.

Katherine - I cannot really tell you what you should do as that is something you or your legal advisor needs to decide.  We would only require the Assent being submitted to us if we were changing the title register based on it, but from what you have described that does not appear to be the case.
