Hi My parent own the house we live in and on the land registry when it was sold to them as a barn that they then converted into a dwelling, it stated that the converted building could not be sold separately from their main dwelling. This was signed by the original property owner and both of my parents. The original owner has since passed away as has his partner. Both my parents are still with us but getting to an age where their estate needs to be sorted. Can this be changed so the 2 properties can be sold separately ?

Hi Mark - You need to seek legal advice on the matter. It would not be appropriate for us to say if the properties can be sold separately or not as that would be going beyond the remit of HM Land Registry.

Hi Nimish Thank you for your reply, I kinda thought this may be the case. Will look into it further.
