Registering a lease for land

We are a community group in Wales that are taking on a lease for some land from the local authority to create a community garden. 
We have agreed the lease and now need to register it with land registry- can we do this ourselves or do we need to involve a professional. We’d like to keep our costs to a minimum.

Roger - there is no obligation to use a conveyancer although we would always recommend that you do as they are familiar with not only the registration requirements but also the legal ones.
See PG 25 for guidance but please do bear in mind that it is written with a conveyancer very much in mind.
