Parking

We have been parking outside our house, on an area of land which is unadopted. We have owned the house since 1982 and have been parking outside since. Can we adopt this area ie parking for two cars. The unadopted road is at the end of a cul-de-sac, it is not a through road and is not used to access anywhere else
