What form is required please to register the death of one spouse where the registered freehold of the house is in joint names, held as Tenants in Common, and the other spouse is still living' Also Is it necessary to register the will trust established by the Will of the deceased. The deceased died in 2014 but the survivng spouse is soon to move to a retirement home, and the house will be put up for sale; so it may be necessary to update the ownership details now? Or will this all be dealt with by the conveyancing solicitors upon sale of the house.

John - Deceased joint proprietor (DJP) - GOV.UK
It's rare to update the register re a death of the property is to be sold. The death is factual and can be proven at point of exchange/completion as appropriate
