Hi all!

I have a question: the freeholder transferred the freehold rights to the leaseholder, and the application was done in March. How long would it take to finalise?

According to the internet, it is 26 weeks. Is it true? If that's the case, would we have any options to expedite the application process?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Dilara

Hi Dilara - timescales (wait times) can be lengthy but if there's an urgency such as a linked/dependent transaction then a request to expedite it can be made - Request an expedite - GOV.UK

Dear Adam,

Thank you very much for your previous assistance on this matter!

Unfortunately, I am unable to directly check the application status as the submission was made by the freeholder's solicitor. However, I requested and obtained both the title number (GM699466) and the application reference (Z974YST). Could you please assist me in obtaining an update with this information, including any expected completion date?

Also, we plan on submitting an expedited request soon, since we need to sell the property.

I greatly appreciate your support and any help you can provide.

Kind regards,

D

Dear Dilara - that's a pending application to register a transfer of ownership and was submitted in February. Current average timescales suggest it's likely to wait some time still before it's processed.
Once you have confirmed a buyer then a request to expedite should be submitted to keep the wait time as short as possible
GM699466
