I need to send certified copies of a title deed, a will and a trust deed to HMLR as part of an application to change the register.

A solicitor wants £30 per document, while the Post Office offer to certify documents for £12.50 each - a saving of more than £50. My bank said they no longer offer this service.

Please can you confirm whether a copy of a document certified by a Post Office meets the standard of certification required by HMLR?

Many thanks in advance,

David

David - GOV.UK explains who can certify a copy as being a true copy of the original Certifying a document - GOV.UK
As you can see the Post Office certification is not included.
Do check what it is you actually 'need to send' to us as it's rare that we need sight of a will for example unless we have actually requested it
And if you are the applicant we generally can accept your own certification of the copies but reserve the right to ask for originals if we need to do so
