Processing a TR1

In the past when I was transferring a title to someone we both went to a Land registry Office with the forms and documents which were checked and the transfer accepted.
It seems from looking online that we now have top send everything (TR1 AP1 & ID3 plus documents) by post.
Is it possible to take them to an office if only so they can be checked as correctly completed?

Ed - our offices have been closed to the public for a number of years. You will need to post the application 
HM Land Registry address for applications - GOV.UK
