Donald - Can you elaborate what exactly you are looking to do?
Generally the Building Completion Certificate has no relevance to ownership of the land or property that is registered by us at HM Land Registry.

In the building completion certificate issued it states 'It is advisable to deposit the certificate with the deeds of the property. This will avoid undue delays in any sale or remortgage in the future"
My bank said to contact Land Registry who store all deeds electronically
Thanks

We do not hold such documents as we have no involvement in the building process. We register ownership of the land and property, not what lies within. The title register and title plan prepared by us are the legally accepted evidence of ownership of the property.
Any deeds or documents that are submitted to us will be scanned electronically and the original destroyed after that.
You should hold on to any such certificate.

Thanks very much Nimish. You've been a great help. Builing sign off docs now stored with our land registry paperwork
