Historical document identifying ownership

I am trying to identify the ownership of a local pier, which I think historically may have been The Commissioners of the Port of Arundel and the Harbour of Littlehampton.  When I carry out a search it states nothing has been registered.  Any pointers would be appreciated.  Thanks

Thanks, I've drawn a blank from local enquiries.&#160; It could just be that it was never registered way back then!&#160;&#160;
