Hello

I paid off my remortgage in July, and my lender said they'd remove the charge. Is it possible to find out whether they have?

Thanks

John

Hello John - what's the title number or property address?
Most lenders remove the mortgage (legal charge) electronically and within 2-4 weeks of confirming the redemption with you

Hi Agnieszka - you can search online for a fee at any time - Search for land and property information - GOV.UK
Please note the title number is actually CB195107. The one you quoted was the original seller/builder's title
Please also have a read of our blog article - Where are my title deeds, and do I need them? – HM Land Registry

Hi,
I saw confirmation provided on forum and thought I can get it as well. If this is not a case anymore I will pay for title register any way and keep it for my records.

Many thanks for a quick respond and clarification on the title number.

Agnieszka - the mortgage was removed and register updated in 2024. Hope that helps although most people asking here want to be 100% certain and to see the actual register that makes no mention of the now removed mortgage

Adam, Thank you very much for checking. It will give me some peace of mind. It was not clear from lender when we closed mortgage account. I will get a paper copy by sending OC1 form. Is this a correct one? What is OC2 for? Promise this is my last question :)

Agnieszka - OC1 for a copy of the register/title plan (they are the title deeds). Form OC2 is used to apply by post for a copy of any document referred to on the register as being 'filed' for example.
If you simply want to confirm your ownership and that the title is mortgage-free then it is the register you need
Please do have a read of our blog article - Where are my title deeds, and do I need them? – HM Land Registry
