Property name change - how long is the process?

Please could you let me know what is the current processing time for Land Registry to update a property name change?

Rosemary - wait times can be lengthy. If there's an urgency such as a linked/dependent transaction then a request to expedite it should be made after the application itself has been submitted - Request an expedite - GOV.UK

When you say lengthy do you mean months or are we talking a year or so?

Rosemary - it could be several months but that shouldn't matter. But if there's a reason for asking such as an onward sale/remortgage then request expedition. If there's nothing happening and/or just thinking you might sell/remortgage then make the application and request expedition if and when needed as we won't do that if there's no proven reason to
