At the end of the TP1 form it asks for Execution but I can't find any suggestions for what to write in that box.
Does it need to say 'Executed'? Or can it just say 'Signed as a deed'?
Grateful if anyone could paste some text I can use if it needs to be more than this.
Many thanks

Jack - see our online guidance on how to complete form TR1. The same guidance (section 3.12) can be applied to form TP1 as well re it's execution

Thank you very much.
One final question please: Can the same person witness both signatures for transferor and transferee? Or should it be two different people?
thanks again

Jack - that's covered in the online guidance on how to execute the Transfer.
One person may witness more than one signature but must sign and complete the details below every signature witnessed

Thank you, but in response to what appears your frustration, allow me to impart my own. That guidance is for TR1, hence I didn't study it. You told me that section 3.12 of the TR1 guidance (re execution) can be applied to the TP1 form too. That's the first I heard of it. I didn't scour the document or go any further than necessary for that execution wording because it's not guidance for the TP1, it's for the TR1. Maybe someone should make a point of this somewhere. I have read everything I can find on the TP1 and if it had said "go read TR1 guidance, it all applies" then I'd have done so, and likely woludn't have even needed to join this forum let alone bug you for answers to questions I could have found elsewhere. Thanks, glad you were there to point me in the right direction, perhaps a request to add some wording somewhere would save you some time answering.

Jack - no frustration on my part and apologies if my post made you think that there was.
I was merely trying to flag the accompanying notes as an aid to completing the form re all points in case other Qs arose.
I did post previously that the Notes could be used for both forms. Again apologies for not explaining that the numbering will differ in places simply because the form TP1 has an extra panel. The execution guidance for example is identical for both albeit the numbering differs.
Your Qs have not bugged me and in fact they may well help others to find answers to their own Qs
I will share your suggestion re improving the online guidance re the two forms with colleagues who manage such things
Once again apologies for making you think I was frustrated by your Q

I didn't think you were annoyed, I just suspected you may have answered this many times (which I certainly would find frustrating!) so thought the suggestion might be good. The online guidance and youtube videos do a very good job of explaining things, it just seems the TP1 is lacking a bit as I couldn't find much on that (compared to others such as AP1). All good, and really appreciate your help. I want to avoid delays with returned forms due to mistakes, think I have it sussed now thanks to you!
All the best

Jack - many thanks and much appreciated. Providing online guidance can be very objective at times but any 'extra' can usually help. But in my experience, as you state having been asked the same/similar Qs a number of times, invariably there is something unique/different for each person and where they have got to on their form filling and property journey.
I must admit that we get very very few Qs re TP1s and how to complete but we can always do better re the guidance
