Title Deeds Update

We purchased our flat in February 2024, but the title deeds are still in the previous owners' names. Could you please check if our application has been processed and when the update to our names is expected?

Hi PY Lee - the application was lodged in July 2024 but processing did not start until July this year. Unfortunately we needed more from the conveyancer and a request was issued in July. They asked for more time in October and as yet have not replied in full to our request.
You'll need to contact your conveyancer to confirm and to clarify what's still needed and when they hope to respond in full

Hi there,
In a similar vein, we paid off our mortgage in November and the lender has written to us to advise this has occurred and to get a Title Information Document from the Land Registry, presumably if we want to check they have been taken off of the Title Deeds.  I'd like to do this.  Please can you reassure myself that Santander UK PLC are no longer the official owner of our property or have any hold over it, i.e. we do not require its written consent any more to sell the house, if we ever wished to?
Would you please be able to check whether they have now been removed from the title deeds, and our names added as the owners/title holders?

Hi Andrew - Santander removed the legal charge on 13th November. You can check online for a fee at any time to confirm the current register - Search for land and property information - GOV.UK
