Freehold Title Missing

Hello,<br> <br> I am acting for a client in regard to their re-mortgage which is a Leasehold House. I hvae checked MapSearch and I cannot seem to locate the Freehold Title anywhere? the lease also does not make any reference to the freehold title, which isn't helpful.<br> <br> Any idea on how I can locate said Freehold?<br> <br> Thanks!

Hello Elena-Rose - it's not unusual for a freehold to not be registered. Often the freehold has not been 'sold' or transferred for many years so remains unregistered until it is.<br> The only details we would hold re who the landlord/freeholder might be would be the lease itself and the parties thereto. Whoever granted the lease would have been the landlord/freeholder/superior title holder at the time
