Help

My father has died and the solicitors are asking whether the home he shared with my mother for 55 years is in his name only or whether it is jointly owned.  I tried to get the relevant document from the online site but it says the house is not registered.  How do I find out the information I need?

Anthea - if the property is unregistered you will need to locate the original deeds/documents and look for the conveyance used when the property was bought. That deed would then confirm if they bought together or in just a sole name.
