Ownership transfer after remortgage

I bought my ex-husband out of a flat we jointly owned so it’s in my sole name. The completion took place in on 25th September 2023.

My solicitor confirmed they submitted the application to the Land Registry on my behalf so that the ownership will be updated. 

However, when I downloaded the 'Title Register' document from GOV.UK today (17th March 2024), the registered owner information still shows both mine and the ex-husband's name.

This makes me worried and I wonder this is due to Land Registry backlog or there are steps I miss.

 

Wen-Hui - it will be down to the current backlog of work and the resultant delay. If your solicitor has submitted the application then there is nothing to be concerned about. Just wait for them to confirm once done and they will most likely share a copy of the updated register with you once done also.
