My ex wife and i divorced 16 years ago

I have continued to live in the family home and paid the mortgage.

I now need to release equity as my mortgage deal is complete soon.

I am 69 years old.

My wife is willing to sign any documents to help the process through

Help ..........

Tony - if the ownership is to be transferred then the two of you would need to transfer to just you - Registering land or property with HM Land Registry: Change the registered owner name - GOV.UK
If the property is mortgaged you'll need your lender's consent and they are likely to insist on your using a conveyancer
I would recommend seeking legal advice/assistance anyway to ensure everything is 'legal' and correct

Hi Adam,

Thanks so much for this.

I have being taken advice for about 2 years now, my head is spinning.

My current mortgage needs to be paid off by July 31st

i have spoken to my current lender and they seem happy to transfer my ex wife off.

I am also in touch with Key to complete the solution.

Any advice you can offer is very much appreciated, I do not expect anything for free, i am happy to pay someone to help me through the minefield

Thanks again

Hi Tony - the advice we can provide (free) is as per the online link. That also links you to wider guidance and the forms also explain how to complete them.
If your head is spinning and you are uncertain as to what's required then please do use a conveyancer. We can't help/assist you with the type of help you are asking for.
