How do I find out who owns a private road.&#160;&#160;<br> Does a private road have a title number.<br> Is the Land Registry or the local council the place to ask.&#160;

Michael - a private road is still land. Search online or by post&#160;<a href="https://www.gov.uk/search-property-information-land-registry">Search for land and property information - GOV.UK</a>&#160;. The council can advise if it's a public (adopted) road or not.
