We can show you information for over 25 million registered properties in England and Wales.
We do not hold any information about properties that have not been registered with us.

A summary of some register information is free. This summary includes information like:

the property description (how we describe the property in the land register)

the tenure or interest type (for example, freehold or leasehold)

whether there are any easements or restrictive covenants recorded in the register - these entries can affect how you can use land and property

You can buy a digital register (an online view of the full title register) and title plan for £3 each. You can download these as PDFs.

Find out more about what information you can get from the Search for land and property information service:

My Family home is Vectis , 37 Mill Lane , Benson , Oxfordshire. I have title deeds for 7 mill lane Benson OX10 6SA with the house name on. I think that because it was bought in 1969 that the land registry has not been updated with the correct number. How can I rectify this situation?

Hi Paul - #37 is unregistered and neither address for #7 or Vectis is in our systems/recognised. It won't be registered as you bought before compulsory registration clicked in for South Oxfordshhire so your proof of ownership lies int eh original deeds/documents you presumably have
If you want to now register for the first time voluntarily then you can - our online guidance explains how
If you simply want to clear up the postal address aspect then please contact your local authority to confirm the correct address. We don't need to know re the confirmation unless you apply to register the title

Shouldn’t Post a Reply, be changed to Ask a Question? Like so much about Land Registry, there is much that bowls me out.

Hi Edward - online forums tend to refer to 'posts' hence the terminology the platform uses. HMLR use it to help customers find answers to frequently asked questions (posts) and the forum allows others to also participate, as you have, should they wish to.
