We are buying a house which comes with half of a grass verge outside. The neighbours are objecting to the boundaries (I think). This has been going on for months and solicitors cannot seem to sort it. Are land registry just waiting for the objection to be removed or are they reviewing it? Post code of the house is HR7 4PL

Jaz - you need to rely on the sellers/their conveyancer here to confirm what's happening. If the neighbours are involved I assume the sellers are claiming ownership of the land and if there has been an objection then it can take some time to be resolved and if it can't be it can be referred to a tribunal to consider and make a decision on. Please speak to your own solicitor for advice and ask the sellers/their solicitor to provide confirmation as to what's happening and more as appropriate
