Good afternoon

My partner's father passed away around 18 years ago, and his mother passed away in March 2022.
They owned their property outright.
It is on the land registry, in their joint names.
His mother didn't change the deeds when his father passed away.

My partner has lived at the property all of his life.

His elder brother passed away 8 years ago, and there are no other children / dependants.

I now live with my partner, and have done for 18 months.

We would like to transfer ownership of the property to him, and myself.

What would be the best way to do this please?

Thank you

Good Morning - please see our online guidance on how the executor for the Mother can transfer ownership to a beneficiary and someone else. The executor can use form TR1 to transfer to say a beneficiary and someone else as in this case. Not form AS1 unless of course you were also a beneficiary
The application should also include a certified/official copy of the late Father's death certificate

Thank you for your fast response Adam

What is the best way to obtain the TR1 form please?

I do not have access to a printer.

Thank you.
