Since 4 May 1993 HM Land Registry has held its register in electronic format and, since 13 October 2003, for title plan information. You can apply for historical editions of the register or title plan held in electronic form by downloading and completing form HC1. Please note, we cannot action a request for a range of dates, the application request must be for a specified date.

Not all the information we hold is in electronic format. If you require information prior to the dates stated above then we cannot guarantee that we will hold an earlier edition. We may hold paper copies of earlier editions of the register or title plan and may be able to assist you with copies if you apply in writing under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. If you are unsure of the exact information to apply for, then we recommend you make an initial enquiry by letter.

Alternatively, you may purchase a copy of a deed or document that may provide the information you require. If you are unsure of the exact date of the document, please provide as much detail as you can.

Copies of documents, including leases referred to in the register and other documents which relate to an application, but not specifically referred to on the register, can be obtained.

You can apply for official copies of these documents by downloading and completing form OC2.

Please send your completed application form(s) to:
